DSS License/Approval with History of Compliance

Levels A, B and C

DSS licensed/approved centers must maintain a current SC Department of Social Services (DSS) license/approval with a history of compliance to regulations.

History of compliance is defined as having:

  1. No frequent or multiple deficiencies or a significant event posing substantial threat to the health or safety of the children that involve supervision, compliance with ratio, or health and safety violations.
  2. At least one caregiver with a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and pediatric first aid certification who is on-site at all time when the children are in care.
