ABC Child Care Center Bonus Program

(Effective November 2009 - September 2010)

Read the letter sent to ABC providers announcing the 2009-2010 bonus award (PDF).

A A AA Bonus Package for High-Performing Level A

$20 Bonus payment ($10 for half-time)
Two ABC Slots
$4,000 5.0-7.0

  • Meets all of Level A Part I (I-VII) with no Corrective Action Plans/Site Report.
  • At least 4.0 on interaction subscale in each observed classroom

ERS score of 5.0 - 7.0 average on ERS in all enrolled age groups

  • $20 Bonus payment on weekly rate ($10 for half-time)
  • Two ABC slots
  • $4,000 one time bonus

A Bonus Package for Level A

$10 Bonus Payment ($5 for half-time)
One ABC Slot
$3,500 4.75-4.99
$3,000 4.6-4.74
$2,500 4.5-4.59

  • Meets all of Level A Part I (I-VII) with no Corrective Action Plans/Site Report.
  • At least 4.0 on interaction subscale in each observed classroom

ERS Score of 4.75 - 4.99 average on ERS in all enrolled age groups

  • $10 Bonus payment on weekly rate ($5 for half-time)
  • One ABC slot
  • $3,500 one time bonus

ERS Score of 4.6 - 4.74 average on ERS in all enrolled age groups

  • $10 Bonus payment on weekly rate ($5 for half-time)
  • One ABC slot
  • $3,000 one time bonus

ERS Score of 4.5 - 4.59 average on ERS in all enrolled age groups

  • $10 Bonus payment on weekly rate ($5 for half-time)
  • One ABC slot
  • $2,500 one time bonus

B B BB Bonus Package for High- Performing Level B

Maximum Bonus award is $2,000 ($1,000 for Exempt centers)

  • Meets all of Level B Part I (I-V) with no Corrective Action Plans/Site Report.
  • Meets licensing ratios
  • Meets 85% minimum

At least 95% in all enrolled age groups:

  • $10 Bonus payment on weekly rate
  • $2,000 One-time Bonus

At least 90% in all 3 enrolled age groups:

  • $5 Bonus payment on weekly rate
  • $2,000 One-time Bonus

At least 90% in 2 enrolled age groups & at least 85% in any other enrolled age group:

  • $5 Bonus payment on weekly rate
  • $1,500 One-time Bonus

At least 90% in 1 enrolled age group & at least 85% in any other enrolled age groups:

  • $5 Bonus payment on weekly rate
  • $1,000 One-time Bonus

At least 85% in all enrolled age groups:

  • $5 Bonus payment on weekly rate
  • $500 One-time Bonus

Exempt (Non-Licensed) Center = ½ of Bonus amount

B Bonus Package for Level B

Must score at least 80% in all enrolled age groups
Maximum Bonus award is $400 ($200 for Exempt centers)

  • Does not meet Level B Part I (I-V)
  • Meets licensing ratios
  • Meets 80% minimum

At least 90% in 3 enrolled age groups:

  • $400 One-time Bonus

At least 90% in 2 enrolled age groups:

  • $300 One-time Bonus

At least 90% in 1 enrolled age group:

  • $200 One-time Bonus

At least 85% in all enrolled age groups:

  • $100 One-time Bonus

Meets all staff qualifications/no overdue education plans = $100

All required documentation on-site during visit = $50

Exempt (Non-Licensed) Center = ½ of Bonus amount

C Bonus for Entry at Level B from Level C

Initial one-time grant award up to $2,500 if enroll as Level B provider and recommended by ABC monitor.
